Edward C. Hay Jr.

Edward C. Hay, Jr. is a Board Certified Specialist in Consumer Bankruptcy Law, certified by both the North Carolina State Bar and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1974 and to the North Carolina State Bar in 1976, Edward earned his B.A. from Davidson College in 1971 and his J.D. from University of Georgia in 1974. He has served on the Bankruptcy Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association, and on the Selection Committee which examines candidates for Specialization. He is active in civic affairs, including service as Vice-Mayor of the City of Asheville. Born on March 22, 1949 in Lexington, Kentucky, he resides in Asheville with his wife Diana Soileau and has four children. He enjoys getting outdoors, and especially likes the time he spends on his bicycle.
